It shows the picture of the dish, the name of the dish and two buttons ('Start Cooking' and 'Overview'). If you want to start cooking, press 'Start Cooking'. If you want to familiarise yourself with all the steps first, press 'Overview'. Then it will show you all the steps of the recipe:
Keep scrolling down to view all the steps. If you want to start, press the 'back' button on your device (highlighted in the yellow circle in the above picture) to go back to the previous screen and press 'Start Cooking'.
Steps of the recipe
One step of the recipe will be shown at one time and this is one of the screen which shows most of the elements:
When the screen is first shown to you, there will be an audio instruction of the step. Each step will also be accompanied by:
A. a photo of the step
B. Text instruction
C. A speaker button: if you want to listen to the instruction again, press this button.
F. 'Next' button: press this button when you have finished the step.
In some steps, the amount of the ingredients used in the step are shown (D). And if the step requires you to set the timer, you will find the timer button (E).
Timer function
There are two types of timer and two ways of setting the duration. First, the duration may be preset by the app for most steps. However, sometimes the app will ask you to set the duration. For example, the time for cooking pasta is different for different pastas so we ask you to set the time according to the package instruction. When you press the timer button, this will appear and you just need to scroll to the number of minutes required and press 'Set':

There is a progress bar to tell you how many minutes remains and a message to tell you to wait at the bottom of the page.
Sometimes, the app allows you to multitask by letting you go to the next step while the timer is on. This will save some time for you. After setting the timer, you will see this dialog to tell you that the timer is set:
Just click 'OK' to close the dialog and press the 'Next' button for the next step. When this type of timer is on, you will see an egg timer icon on the left notification area at the top of the device (inside the yellow circle in the picture below:
If you pull down the notification drawer, you will be able to see the time remaining. Once the time is up, there will be a continuous beeping and a notification message at the top of the screen:
Touch the message to stop the alarm.
If timer is required for the step and you press the 'Next' button without setting the timer, a dialog box will appear:
Press 'Set Timer' to set the time or if you decide not to use the built-in timer but use your own timer, press 'Timer already set'.
